The place mat shows the child how to set the table properly as well as being a fun item, it can be coloured in and for the older children there is a crossword. Play and learning in one helps a child to remember. The family calendar has a manner of the month, each month there is a new manner to learn for the whole family not just the child. The characters are used on each month of the calendar to help the child distinguish the place settings on their place mat.
