May the Forth be with you! | Rainbow Star Wars Wedding

Writer's picture: FlutterbeezeFlutterbeeze

When I first met Claire and her wonderful mum Gillian at a wedding fayre in 2023. I just knew she was going to be one of my couples and I couldn't wait! Her positive and energetic vibes were amazing and she loved one of my more colourful and out there designs. As with most people I meet at the fayres, she left her contact details for me to get back in touch with her and when I did and I had remembered that she loved this invite as it matched her scarf (that she had on that day) she was overjoyed. She couldn't believe that I had remembered such a detail.

At the fair Claire had spotted my little wooden pin badge place name favours. As I already knew the theme of the wedding and having mentioned this to her I offered to make her son a little badge to post out as a special gift just for him. Seeing his smiley face on her stories having received it, was just so heartwarming for me.

"He loves it! Also getting post when you’re 7 is a big deal so he was very excited haha!"

In November Claire came to my home studio, for our face to face meeting and we just vibed again, planning and researching and organising how we were going to create the most perfect bright bold rainbow star wars themed stationery to carry right across to the on the day items too.

We opted for a vellum wrap Invite with matching information sheet and RSVP card and for the evening reception a matching postcard design.

Claire's bright and bold theme was carried on with all her suppliers and she used so many wonderful local suppliers. Her Flowers were created by a family friend Karen Ramsey, a retired florist with a passion and flair for beautiful things. They filled the venue with such a vibrant fun palette.

With Claire's passion of bright colours and Alistair's passion of Star Wars, getting married on the 4th of May was the only choice. They booked The Dean Park Hotel in Kirkcaldy Fife and invited local music specialists, Scotia Pipers, Harpist Sophie Rocks and DJ Fife Wedding Entertainments to bring a buzz and the life of the party. The Chivari chairs were supplied by Style A Chair. With the ceremony being conducted by Sandy Caldwell.

There were so many little details throughout the day, from the Darth Vader buttonhole for Alistair, Cuthbert the caterpillar wedding cake and of course the welcome sign to Claire's Wedding. But the best surprise of all was the announcement of Grayson becoming a big brother and finding out that his new sibling will be a little brother. The confetti gender reveal had all the evening guests in shock as much as the day guests who found out at the speeches. This was all documented by the very talented Lee Richardson Videography on his trusty camera and by the Ninja herself Victoria Photography with her equally super camera. These guys have serious talent.

To get Claire and her entourage looking her best she had a superb team around her, makeup by Bekah Bundy & Michelle Farrell. Hair by Michelle Molloy. The stunning Brides dress was Allure from Madison Rose, The Mother of the Brides dress was from Avenue Boutique and the gorgeous bridesmaid dresses were from That Special Day Bridal. To help these ladies get into their dresses and get them looking their best was Fairytale Fittings. Claire's elegant hair piece was from Petals and Pearls Bridal.

The evening celebrations were complete with so much love and plenty of dancing. During the dinner service they were serenaded by singing waiters Singing Servers. Guests had their pictures drawn by Live drawing artist What Hannah Does, and were able to leave a voice message for the happy couple by means of an audio guest book from Calleo. A 360° photobooth and indoor sparklers from Fife Wedding Entertainments. ConfettiBee provided the most epic confetti in such bold colours.

For the On the Day items, I created my biggest signs to date, they were huge and hung from an IKEA clothes rail finished off with climbing florals. The place name cards and table numbers incorporated some hand painted elements, Darth Vader himself and a host of lightsabers.

"Honestly, Alistair is VERY impressed with the lightsabers, it takes a lot to impress him (especially when it comes to anything wedding related so you should be proud haha)."

The hanger tags not only helped label up each ladies dress but also had four empowering descriptive words about the individual. What a way to big up your bridal party. Hanging from the Chivari chairs were reserved tags, each with a name so everyone knew where they were seated.

Now there is one thing I should note, for us suppliers that are not present on the day, to receive such incredible photos of our work is on the same level of excitement as when you leave us an amazing review. It means that all our hard work to help your big day come together was worth it. To show off to prospective new couples and to continually swoon over the images.

"Flutterbeeze has captured exactly what we wanted and more. I cannot recommend Kirsty highly enough, she has been a dream. Can't wait for everyone to see what she has made."
